How we add value to your product search?

If your company does not have well-established contacts in the area, it can be a daunting task to find the right supplier for your product search. We take all stress out of the process and add value by:

  • Solution approach : Under product search we do not understand just finding some supplier contact addresses. In fact, a quick search on the internet easily evokes hundreds of suppliers in China supposedly offering products similar to yours. We, however, want to identify and qualify a partner that effectively fulfills your product requirement and your strategic SCM needs - a solution that allows you safely placing your product production orders.
  • Sample & Quote - Results for sourcing decisions : We deliver what you typically need for further sourcing decisions: product samples to prove the capability of the Chinese partner and a sufficiently defined price quote to do your calculations.
  • Supplier Network and Relationship : We have worked with a series of suppliers in various industries and have built a solid network of partners. From this pool of contacts and experiences we draw for benchmarks and further referrals, as well as for repeat order placements. We build relationships of trust with our suppliers and often use them for more than one customer’s requirement, which gives us a marked advantage in our dealings.
  • Local contact and inter-cultural bridge : This should never be underestimated, having an intermediary in the same vicinity and speaking the same language as your supplier is a major plus. With our intercultural project team we can understand your product and service quality requirements and effectively translate, communicate and follow-up with the suppliers. We speak English, German, French, and Chinese.
  • Design and Value Engineering : In specific for new products, we made the experience that during or following the sampling period certain technical production restrictions or economical cost considerations may require further product or process (re-)design (e.g. detailed 2 or 3D drawings, material mix, process steps, etc). Often it makes sense to do this on site with the supplier, or at least provide a technical evaluation to the client’s engineers. Depending on the industry, we can offer this expertise in-house our through a network of associated partners.

How to get started with a product search?

To understand your request and to enable us to approach prospective suppliers with your requirements,
we need some basic information about the product that you want to source:

  • Product specification : Please provide as much technical information as you can about the product to be sourced. The more details you can provide, the more accurate we can be with our recommendations. Please also let us know whether it’s a new product for you or an established one to outsource. For the latter, it would be helpful to get samples or at least pictures.
  • Time scale : Do you have expectations in terms of concrete delivery times or lead-times? Is your product requirement current or are you making an exploratory approach?
  • Volume : Knowing approximate planned order numbers (either per deal or for instance per year) is important for supplier capacity considerations, as well as pre-negotiation inputs. If you cannot provide order numbers yet, please give us two or three scale estimates for which you would like to have the quotes.
  • Project scope : How much involvement do you require from us? We can participate in as much or as little as you require from simple supplier contact identification to full supply chain management, it’s up to you!
